We decide why and how your personal data is processed, which makes us the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the controller under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation where those apply.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form we collect:

  • your name and work email address (required);
  • your company name and the practice you are interested in (optional);
  • what you write in the message box; and
  • whether you ticked “We need an NDA before sharing details”.

Please don’t include confidential or sensitive information in the form. If you need an NDA, tick the box and we’ll arrange one first.

Information collected automatically

  • With your enquiry: your browser’s user-agent string (browser and operating system), stored alongside the enquiry to help us spot spam and technical problems.
  • Performance measurements: anonymous page-speed metrics (such as load time and responsiveness) collected by Vercel Speed Insights. These are not used to identify you, and Speed Insights sets no cookies.
  • Usage analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser type and your approximate location (city or country), using cookies — see Cookies and analytics. If you don’t accept, no analytics cookies are set.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site.

How and why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement, including arranging an NDA if you ask for one.
  • To keep a record of enquiries so none are lost and we can follow up properly.
  • To keep the site working, fast and secure, including filtering spam.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it — only with your consent to analytics cookies.

Under India’s DPDP Act we process the details you submit on the basis of your consent, given when you send the form, and for the legitimate uses the Act permits. Under the UK/EU GDPR our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running a secure website.

We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run this website, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Vercel — website hosting and performance measurement.
  • Neon — the database where enquiries are stored.
  • Resend — delivery of the enquiry notification to our inbox.
  • Our email provider — where we receive and reply to your enquiry.
  • Google — Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these providers store or process data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer data across borders we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, and on transfers being permitted under applicable law.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If your enquiry leads to an engagement, the relevant details become part of our client records and are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law require. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, and never longer than 14 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you have the right to:

  • get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, or a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected or completed;
  • have your data erased;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it);
  • object to or restrict our processing, and receive your data in a portable format (UK/EU GDPR);
  • nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (DPDP Act); and
  • raise a grievance with us and, if you are not satisfied, complain to the regulator.

To use any of these rights, email connect@diverraconsulting.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires — usually within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Its cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years) are only set if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. Until then — and if you click “Reject” — Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that sends Google limited, non-identifying signals (such as that a page was viewed) without storing anything on your device. We have turned off advertising features: no ad cookies, no personalised ads and no cross-site tracking.

Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Vercel Speed Insights measures page performance without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send your data to a font provider.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, enquiries are stored in an access-controlled database, and only people at Diverra Consulting who need to respond to enquiries can see them. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

This website is for businesses. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
